Today (August 31, 2008) is the 4th annual Blog Day.
For those of us who are blogging and building relationships across the Internet, we have a chance to find new and different blogs that we haven’t seen before.
I know, I know. We all have lots of blogs or RSS feeds to read as it is. However, we may be missing the information that will make a BIG difference in our lives.
This is also a chance to share our favorite blogs with our readers and new readers that the day may bring to our site.
Visit the Blog Day web page for details and to find out the purpose and history of Blog Day.
I hope y’all will explore some new blogs today and share your favorites with your readers.
Picking only five blogs is a tough job. I have many favorites. There are many great blogs that I’m leaving out of this list.
With that said, here are five blogs you should definitely check out.
http://publicityhound.net/ — Joan Stewart provides lots of tips, tricks, and tools for free publicity. Her newsletter is not to be missed. She also shares wonderful doggie jokes.
http://www.ereads.com/richard_curtis/ — Richard Curtis gives us a glimpse of the other side of publishing
http://terrywhalin.blogspot.com/ — Terry Whalin’s The Writing Life blog shares information about the business from a writer’s, an editor’s, and an agent’s point of view. We all benefit from Terry’s experience.
http://www.themarketingmindset.com/ — Kathleen Gage, otherwise known as the Street Smart Marketer, provides great information for speakers, trainers, authors, and consultants.
http://theimuniversity.com/ — Gina Gaudio-Graves has just finished up her second 30–day challenge. Her complimentary course teaches people to create a web presence in 30 days.
These are just a few of my favorites. What are yours?
Blog your favorites and take part in Blog Day!
Write on,

Lynn,
Thank you for mentioning my blog in this post. I have almost 900 searchable entries in The Writing Life. The search tool is in the right-hand column of my blog.
Also people can subscribe to receive the updates via email for free (also in the right-hand column). I’m committed to continuing to deliver great free content for people to learn more about publishing.
